Two observing sites. One total solar eclipse.
Two sites, one eclipse.
In Burgos, the Sherpas observed from two locations: Padilla de Abajo in the valley and Pico Trigaza on the ridge. Observing from more than one site improves the chances of clear skies and adds to the project’s growing record of the solar corona.
With the eclipse only about eight degrees above the horizon, both teams needed a clear view unobstructed by the landscape.
